Combining the benefits of photothermal conversion in a doped optical fiber with principle Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG)-based temperature measurement, new method for measurement moisture content has been developed and its performance is reported. This novel all-fiber approach shows important characteristics fast response, miniaturization design low power consumption. In this work, 1480nm pump laser used to heat cobalt-doped used, which embedded sample under investigation, where sensor change was obtained by using FBG written into fiber. The fast, in-situ takes advantage linear relationship between experienced during heating process content.
